Sarah and Michael’s wedding had incredible modern touches to their classic romance. Adore vendor Allium Floral Design of Bethlehem, Pa used the beautiful, lush, burgundy florals that fall provides and paired them with golden modern lines that truly completed the couples’s vision. The View at Morgan Hill in Easton, Pa (another Adore vendor) has the most stunning backdrop for the ceremony that made this wedding a must see for inspiration!

How did you meet?
We have known each other since 3rd grade and were best friends all through high school. Then we started dating when we went to different colleges and realized we were perfect for each other!
What was your proposal like?
Just a random Tuesday night dinner at Mama Nina’s. The after we were walking around Main Street in Bethlehem and I thought he might ask me then, and I was disappointed when he didn’t! Then he dropped to one knee outside our front door and had our best friend hiding to take pictures!
What was most helpful in the planning process?
Constant communication with my vendors, my Pinterest board, and having a supportive family who had literally just planned a wedding six months prior so the process was still fresh!
What was most helpful on the day of the wedding?
Having a bridal attendant that made sure I stayed hydrated and happy! She did the bustle, steamed my dress and calmed me down when I took it out of the bag and it had a huge crease, and brought me drinks and snacks all night!
What made you cry?
Seeing my husband cry during our first look. I have hardly ever seen him cry so I know how strongly he must have felt. I almost cried then, and again when I looked at my dad before he walked me down the aisle. I honestly thought I would be such a mess all day because I’m usually super emotional but I was just honestly so happy not a single tear actually fell! We also did gifts for each other to open before the wedding. We usually don’t give gifts to each other unless they’re on a wish list, so me picking a tie clip with the lyrics of our wedding song engraved in my handwriting, and him replacing my old necklace from our first anniversary with a necklace with our new anniversary on it was so touching, we each cried.
What surprised you?
How calm I was. I woke up knowing it would be the best day of my life, because I was truly marrying my best friend.
What moment was most important for you to have captured by the photographer?
Our first look. Although I could never forget the look on his face when he first saw me, having a reminder when I look at our wedding photos makes me feel so loved.
What was going through your mind when you saw your significant other for the first time that day?
How excited I was to become his wife!
What was your favorite moment of the wedding day (if you had to pick just one)?
Walking into the venue and seeing everything I had worked so hard to plan for nine months come to the most beautiful finish I could possibly imagine. And marrying my best friend of course!
What was your favorite design detail?
What made you laugh? Did you have an unforgettable funny moment?
During the ceremony, when the officiant asked if anyone objected, I apparently turned around and glared at everyone! That, and during our family photos a family of deer came up behind us and guest starred in some photos!
What would you do differently?
Honestly, not a thing. I had the best team of vendors and the most beautiful day. I emotionally budgeted to have one big thing and two small things go wrong, and nothing did! All the people I worked with were amazing, and the staff at The View at Morgan Hill (shout-out to Shannon!) made sure I was happy all day.
What was something fun that you did with your wedding party?
We went out to McCarthy’s in Bethlehem afterwards and kept the party going!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Aruba to the Riu Palace Antillas. Aruba is perfect during hurricane season, and the Riu was an all inclusive with an exclusive villa with a more private pool!
Leading up, what moment was most important to you?
Our first dance! I danced for 12 years, and my husband says he can’t find a rhythm to save his life. We took one ballroom dance class with one of my former teachers, to our own wedding song, and found out he can actually waltz better than I can!
What was something unique that you did?
I did a dance with both my father and my step father. They’re both so important to me and to get to dance with each of them was something I’ll never forget. Also, our officiant’s day job is a funeral director, so he got to preside over something happy instead!
What advice would you give to couples who are currently in the planning process?
Make a decision and then don’t look at it again. You’ll end up buying six dresses if you keep looking at them after you pick yours. Pinterest is your best friend and worst enemy all at once!
What is something you wished someone would have told you in preparation for your wedding day?
To take a minute to just be with your new spouse after the ceremony. We were never alone until we got to the hotel, and it would’ve been great to just have a moment together to celebrate!
Do you have any additional thoughts or comments you would like to share?
Just to savor every moment, no matter how long your engagement is it flies by, and your wedding day goes by even faster!
We instantly fell in love with this wedding and its modern touches to a classic romance. It’s always an honor to share such beautiful weddings. Congratulations to Sarah and Michael.
