From Sarah Petryk, founder of Adore Weddings Lehigh Valley/Poconos and Owner/Lead Designer at Allium Floral Design & Event Styling
As I sit and take a look back at these amazing images from last autumn (as always, I am floored by With Love and Embers work) I can’t help but feel awash with emotion. Seeing all these happy family members, overjoyed and hugging each other with such full and reckless abandon-it all just feels otherworldly, right? It’s just a few short months ago, and yet, our whole world has changed. As a wedding vendor myself, I’ve been part of the heart wrenching waiting and rescheduling game. We all wonder what our world and weddings will evolve into. And yet, for now, as we wait to see what the big picture looks like, microweddings feel so timely.
As a florist, we’ve been able to create such intimate and personal designs for our couples. And these small gatherings give them a chance to celebrate big! We’ve done incredible ceremony backdrops and so many beautiful tablescapes. Many fellow vendors are now also offering packages specifically tailored to microweddings. If you want to get married this year, it’s a great option to consider for you and your guests.
So while the hugs may be fewer, and your Celebrant may not stand in front of you, (Alisa Tongg, featured here at her intimate woodland venue, Promise Ridge, now stands to the side, at least six feet away from the couples) it’s still such a meaningful way to celebrate. You can even stream the ceremony. One of our Adore vendors, Omnivent, has a fantastic set up where you can even interact with guests who are unable to attend in person.
LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED. We see that phrase over and over-and it’s 100% true. Don’t be afraid to get married, to celebrate your love for one another! In fact, I can’t think of a more perfect time.
