What was your proposal like?
It was at home with our puppies. He said, “The puppies and I want you in our lives forever. Will you be my wife and mommy?”
Where did you go on your honeymoon? I am sure it was nice to relax after all your planning!
Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville, Pa. We had a couple’s massage which was much needed after a long week. We both finally felt relaxed.
What was most helpful in the planning process?
Having great vendors who gave me schedules and walked me through the day.
What was most helpful on the day of the wedding?
Experienced vendors.
What would you do differently?
I would not have had a bridal party, but just a Maid of Honor. It was difficult to schedule.
What moment was most important for you to have captured by the photographer?
The first look was really special.
What was going through your mind when you saw your significant other for the first time that day?
I was like, “Wow. This is it; all the planning and talking and here we are.” I felt at ease knowing it was him by my side.
What was your favorite design detail?
The Christmas trees in the hotel were magical.
What made you cry?
The sentimental gifts like old photos and our vows.
Leading up, what moment was most important to you?
Walking down the aisle and reading our vows (which was so scary to me, but after that it was a ball).
What made you laugh? Did you have an unforgettable funny moment?
My husband couldn’t find me and thought I wasn’t coming down the aisle. He had my Maid of Honor look for me, because I was in my hotel room right before the ceremony. I had shots of vodka and ate chocolate chip cookies. This is how I got past the nerves!
What surprised you?
My husband’s vows! I had found them a week before and they were terrible! But, he changed them and they were beautiful.
What was something unique that you did?
We did a wine ceremony. No one had ever seen one before!
What was something fun that you did with your wedding party?
We had a special room after the ceremony with wine and food that we all snuck off to and had a special toast. It was extra special.
What was your favorite moment of the wedding day (if you had to pick just one)?
Dancing with family.
What advice would you give to couples who are currently in the planning process?
Do not over spend. Keep it small and you will find out who really matters on your special day.
What is something you wished someone would have told you in preparation for your wedding day?
Not to stress so much and just enjoy the day. It goes by like the speed of light.
Congratulations to the newly weds! Thank you for sharing your magical and romantic holiday wedding!
