What was your proposal like?
We were sitting in our cozy backyard around the fire-pit with a bottle of wine. William got down on one knee and asked me to marry him… again!
What moment was most important for you to have captured by the photographer?
My goal was to be able to relive my wedding by looking through my pictures. My photographers did just that. I cry every time I look through my album – wedding feels all over again.
What was something fun that you did with your wedding party?
We went to St. Pete Beach for my bachelorette party! We also got to ride golf carts for our pictures, that was fun.
Leading up, what moment was most important to you?
I just wanted everyone to have a great time celebrating the best day of our lives.
What was most helpful in the planning process?
Print a “wedding planning timeline”! It really helps you figure out where you need to be and when.
What was your favorite moment of the wedding day (if you had to pick just one)?
Our ceremony! We put the whole ceremony together, and picked readings that defined who we are as individuals and as a couple. It was so personal, and felt like it was just us standing up there.
What was your favorite design detail?
Do I have to pick one?! Everything I had in my head came together perfectly. The arbor my dad made for us was my favorite.
What was going through your mind when you saw your significant other for the first time that day?
I want to marry this man everyday for the rest of my life!
What made you cry?
Seeing William crying at the end of the aisle!
What surprised you?
How calm I was – I just knew everything would fall into place how it was supposed to.
What was most helpful on the day of the wedding?
Shannon Vega, our Event Coordinator who works at Morgan Hill, was the absolute best. She made sure everything went smoothly -if there were any issues, I didn’t know about them. It was a stress free day, thanks to her.
What would you do differently?
Give yourself more time for bridal pictures! The pictures of me alone were done last and I just wanted to go party with everyone! You could definitely see it in my face.
What advice would you give to couples who are currently in the planning process?
Try not to stress – I know, easier said than done, but when it comes to the day, the only thing that matters is you and the person you’re marrying. Nothing else will matter.
What is something you wished someone would have told you in preparation for your wedding day?
I got a lot of advice… but you really don’t realize how fast the day goes. The best advice I got was to take a step back with your husband/wife and just take it all in.
What was something unique that you did?
We had an unplugged ceremony and first dance. I didn’t want everyone’s phones and cameras in our pictures. I wanted everyone to be there in the moment with us and enjoy it.
What made you laugh? Did you have an unforgettable funny moment?
The Maid Of Honor and Best Man speeches were perfect – they made you laugh and cry!
Where did you go on your honeymoon? I am sure it was nice to relax after all your planning!
Florence, Santorini and finished in Barcelona – it was a dream!
