A Dreamy Fall Winery Wedding at Folino Estate

Folino Estate Winery is that place where you step into a dream. Every area of this venue leaves you speechless with its beauty. Erinn and Aaron got married at Folino on a beautiful November day. Their joy is contagious, and we are thrilled to share this dreamy fall winery wedding.

How did you meet?

After graduating college, Erinn started working for her best friend’s father, which was Aaron’s boss. In the office, Erinn often asked Aaron for help with the printer as a way to start conversation. Eventually, he asked her to go on a hike after work and the rest is history.

What was your proposal like?

Aaron recreated our first date, which was hiking to the Witches Hat on NeverSink Mountain. He proposed at the top over looking the city. It was romantic and completely unexpected on a random Wednesday evening.

What was your favorite moment of the wedding day (if you had to pick just one)?

The first look. Erinn did not originally want a first look, but Aaron did. He won due to day-light savings time and wanting to get pictures outside. The first look was intimate and took some of the pressure off of us during the ceremony. Also, we got all the pictures we wanted before the sun set.

What moment was most important for you to have captured by the photographer?

The First Look.

What was going through your mind when you saw your significant other for the first time that day?

Aaron: “She was so beautiful.” Erinn: “I can’t wait to marry this handsome man.”

What made you laugh? Did you have an unforgettable funny moment?

During the ceremony, Erinn had to clarify with the officiant which “Erinn” she was referring to as she began to have us recite the vows. This will be something we are going to be clarifying the rest of our lives. (haha)

What surprised you?

After months of planning, the day went by so fast. We were so caught up in the moment, we didn’t even notice most of the details we were so worried about.

What was something fun that you did with your wedding party?

We made personalized jean jackets and Champagne glasses for the bride’s party. The groom’s party had matching socks and personalized beer mugs. For our children in the party, we gifted them wedding themed coloring books and legos.

What is something you wished someone would have told you in preparation for your wedding day?

How fast the day flies by.

What made you cry?

EVERYTHING. Literally. Happy tears all day long.

What was most helpful in the planning process?

Having a wedding coordinator provided by our venue helped us plan, make sure there was a good timeline for the day and calm our nerves. Pinterest was also our best friend for brainstorming.

What was most helpful on the day of the wedding?

Our venue allowed us to set up the reception area the day prior. It took the pressure off of planning who was going to set up the day of.

Leading up, what moment was most important to you?

Many guests did not come due to COVID concerns. We wanted to make sure our guests that did come were comfortable. We had bracelets guests could wear to signify their comfort level. We also made sure to stock up on masks and sanitizer.

What advice would you give to couples who are currently in the planning process?

Planning a wedding during COVID is unpredictable. Rules and regulations continued to change up until the wedding. Just roll with it and remember what the day is about. Whether it is in a tent or inside as planned, you’re getting to marry your best friend.

What would you do differently?

There isn’t anything we would change, other than having more time to talk to all of our guests.

What was your favorite design detail?

Our cake was personalized to us. We both love baseball and are trying to visit every MLB stadium. The cake topper was a groom pitching to a bride. The cake had baseball stitching designs. As soon as the cake was delivered, our ring bear put his finger in the front of it to see if it was real. This detail made it even more unique to us.

What was something unique that you did?

Besides our unique cake, we had a crepe bar for our guests. The venue also provided Italian deserts.
