How did you meet?
High School sweethearts.
What was your proposal like?
On a cliff in Ireland.

Succulents in my hair and bouquet.

My bachelorette weekend.
What was something fun that you did with your wedding party?
Snacks while we got ready.
What moment was most important for you to have captured by the photographer?
The first look.
What was going through your mind when you saw your significant other for the first time that day?
That I was just so excited to finally be getting married.
What surprised you?
The ceremony – I expected to just kind of rush through it, but it was perfect.
What was something unique that you did?
Mostly standing room at the ceremony, a call-and-response vow portion with the audience, went out of order at the reception, donuts instead of cake, no bouquet throwing.
What was most helpful in the planning process?
My mom owns a rental business – she and her co-workers helped me think through things.
What was most helpful on the day of the wedding?
Lots of friends and family who jumped in to help take care of details.
What would you do differently?
Skip the campfire and get a videographer instead.
What advice would you give to couples who are currently in the planning process?
Pick a handful of things you agree on that you really care about, write them down and come back to them when you feel like you need to do everything.
What is something you wished someone would have told you in preparation for your wedding day?
Write down moments the next day so that you can remember a bunch of specifics.
What made you laugh? Did you have an unforgettable funny moment?
So many – the best man speech was.the funniest. Our ceremony had a bunch of things that made me laugh too.
What made you cry?
My maid of honor’s speech.
What was your favorite moment of the wedding day (if you had to pick just one)?
Dancing with my mom – we got married on her birthday.
