A classic and intimate outdoor garden wedding was the perfect setting for Jenna and Bob to celebrate their marriage. We loved the intimacy of this wedding, and am sure you will enjoy it as well!

How did you meet?
We both attended the same high school and actually grew up just a few blocks away from each other. However, we didn’t meet until after Bob graduated, through mutual friends. I knew the night I met him that I was going to marry him! I get so emotional thinking about it! Bob proposed eight years later.
What was your proposal like?
Very laid back; exactly how I wanted it to happen! Bob made breakfast and then popped the question! The water works started after that and it took me 10 minutes to get myself together. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
What was something unique that you did?
We spent the whole morning together and got ready together. Bob was there from start to finish, with my hair and makeup, and everything. It was nice because it felt like the day was about us.
What moment was most important for you to have captured by the photographer?
Getting ready together before the wedding was very important to us. It was a special moment.
What was your favorite design detail?
Not so much a design detail, but I loved being at a bed and breakfast. The observatory suite was stunning.
What surprised you?
The whole day. It came together so perfectly and hassle free. Everything about our wedding day was beyond my expectations.
What made you laugh? Did you have an unforgettable funny moment?
While we were taking photos before the wedding a bird pooped on my shoulder! Also, Bob lost his ring in the car on the way up, he was making sure it still fit and dropped it under the seat, but of course in the hardest spot to see or get so it took some time.
What made you cry?
I was very emotional that day so everything that made me happy also made me cry.
Leading up, what moment was most important to you?
Celebrating a new chapter in our lives.
What was your favorite moment of the wedding day (if you had to pick just one)?
Having our grandparents there.
What would you do differently?
The only thing we would have done differently is to have our very close friends there as well. We had 17 people total which was just immediate family and grandparents. It was a very intimate wedding and I wouldn’t want to take that away because that is what I loved… so maybe like 30 people.
What advice would you give to couples who are currently in the planning process?
Have the wedding that you want and not what you are expected to have or to do.
What is something you wished someone would have told you in preparation for your wedding day?
Don’t wear long sleeves in the middle of the summer on the hottest day of the year!
Do you have any additional thoughts or comments you would like to share?
We got married on our 10 year anniversary and planned it all in less than 3 months and for around $5000 total. I guess it hit me three months before our anniversary that it would be perfect to get married that day! Plus it makes it easier to remember the date!
