Recently we connected with Amy Vigouroux of Rising Sun Farm and Events in Nazareth, Pa. Looking towards 2020 bookings, she has welcomed the community and reimagined her families’ bicentennial farm as a wedding venue. Ten generations of Amy’s family have lived and loved at this amazing heirloom property. Now it is available as a grounds to create new family memories as couples start their own next chapters. I have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Amy and promoting her unique venue.
As the seasons changed in Lehigh Valley, Pa, I became excited about the changing dynamic of Rising Sun Farm. Lush greens lost their color and the desaturation of the landscape became my inspiration. I reached out to Sarah Petryk of Allium Floral Design in Bethlehem, Pa to brainstorm floral collaboration and it became clear that Allium Everlasting would be the perfect fit for our seasonal shoot. Allium Everlasting features dried, dyed and faux florals for weddings and events.
For this inspirational shoot, I chose a desaturated palette with earthy accents that was reminiscent of the late fall season. We sourced the beautiful Fresna gown from BHLDN while our groom wore mix and match separates from Nordstrom Rack.
With our concept beginning to come together, I brought Lauren of L2 Creations in Bethlehem, Pa, on board knowing that her organic jewelry designs would pair perfectly with the natural landscape. In addition to hosting weddings, Rising Sun Farm is also home to several rescue horses. Lauren is also an established rider. While imaging future wedding stories, I knew that I wanted to highlight this special connection. As timing would have it, Lauren and her husband Billy had just celebrated their five year wedding anniversary. One of the ways that Billy shows his love and admiration for Lauren is to book riding time for her around their anniversary. Everything was lining up to perhaps create some imagery for them to celebrate their marriage. It was with this realization that I invited Lauren to reimagine this shoot with me and to create an experience including her as our equestrian bride!
The shoot was quickly turning into a more meaningful renewal microwedding. I immediately contacted Lehigh Valley Celebrant, Kiera Wilhelm to host a vow renewal ceremony for us. In addition to beautiful words for the couple, she crafted a bourbon ceremony featuring Allentown’s Xplorer Spirits new Honey Bourbon. Sarah Petryk of Allium enhanced the creek side ceremony site in addition to creating a stunning bouquet for our bride. She also provided florals for rescue horse, Buddy. Vanesa Oliver Beauty from Bethlehem, Pa provided her talents for the bride’s hair and make-up look. And our model, Lauren Lowcher of L2 Creations created custom jewelry designs especially for the project. Finally, Emily Olsen of Dirty Hands Clean Soul Creations created a custom stationery suite for the day.
I had a fantastic time working on this equestrian wedding inspiration with this fabulous team of local vendors. We all hope that we were able to create an experience for Lauren and Billy as well as beautiful imagery that reflects their love five years married.
